Shungite is not just a piece of rock that fell to Earth from outer space. The C60 molecule was formed under the most intense high pressure. Until recently, we were unable to replicate such extreme pressure. The 60 atoms that make up the Shungite molecule have a spectacularly high vibration. This vibration ensures that no external information can 'stick' to Shungite. That is what makes Shungite unique.

Rough (unpolished) Shungite and polished Shungite differ mainly in their finish. The underlying composition is the same. Many users experience the effects of both forms as comparable. The choice between rough and polished is therefore often a matter of preference in appearance and application.

There is a difference between "normal" Shungite and Elite Shungite.

According to SHungova, Elite Shungite was formed under very special circumstances. This variant is less common and is not found in one fixed location, but in smaller parts within the rock. Elite Shungite is generally denser in structure and has a different appearance than regular Shungite. Elite Shungite is shiny and has visible ring-shaped structures.

Elite Shungite contains a higher concentration of fullerenes than regular Shungite. The effect of Elite Shungite is therefore often experienced as more intense. The availability of Elite Shungite varies, which is related to the limited number of locations where it can be found.

Apart from the different spellings, there is no difference. There is only one source of Shungite. If the Shungite or shungite you have purchased comes from there, you are dealing with genuine Shungite and its effect is always the same.

Shungite is a (very special) carbon compound. Like other carbon compounds, Shungite also leaves black marks. Unpolished Shungite leaves more marks than polished Shungite. If it leaves a lot of marks, you can rinse the Shungite so that it leaves fewer marks.

Shungite can also stain jewelry, some more than others. This depends on your skin's reaction. After a short time, the staining on the skin will stop.
