Using a Shungite tile
The 10×10 cm tiles are a great size to use as coasters for your drinks. It doesn’t matter if they’re hot or cold—it doesn’t affect how the tiles work.
The larger tiles, measuring 10×20 cm or 20×20 cm, are handy for placing on the countertop, for example. Just done your grocery shopping? Then you can simply set your groceries on the tile for a moment to balance them.
Tip: The tiles may release some black dust at first. So, when you unpack them, give them a quick rinse under the faucet; after a while, the tiles will stop releasing dust. Feel free to save the rinse water—your plants will love it.

Difference between polished and unpolished
Whether the tiles are polished or unpolished does not affect how they work. Unpolished tiles release more residue, so it’s a good idea to rinse them thoroughly before use. You can save the rinse water to water your plants.
The polished tiles are polished only on the top side; it's best to rinse these off first as well.
